TAG Patient/Family Conference The 2009 TAG Patient/Family Conference will be held in New York City on October 24 in conjunction with the upcoming 9th Cooley’s Anemia Symposium, which the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation is organizing with the New York Academy of Sciences on October 21-24.
The TAG Conference will include sessions on October 24 that are part of the 9th Cooley’s Anemia Symposium, as well as sessions that are separate from the Symposium, allowing members to get the best of both worlds. In addition, TAG members have the option of attending part or all of the Symposium, starting on October 21. (For more information about the Symposium, please visit http://www.nyas.org/Cooleys9; however, do not register through that site if you are a patient or family member. See “Registration” below for more information.)

Hotel Accommodations We have reserved a number of hotel rooms at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson at a special TAG Conference rate, as below: Single $ 175 plus tax Double $ 175 plus tax Call (201) 469-1234 for reservations. Reservations must be made no later than September 30, 2009 to receive a room at the discounted rate; when making reservations, please make sure you mention that you are with the TAG Conference in order to receive the discounted rate. Manhattan is easily accessible from the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson by taking the PATH train one stop into the City. When you arrive at WTC (World Trade Center), the Vesey Street exit will put you just in front of 7 World Trade Center, which is where the New York Academy of Sciences and the TAG Conference is located, on the 40th floor. Registration will be on first come first serve basis. No onsite registration available. The registration fee for the TAG Conference, including the October 24 sessions in conjunction with the Symposium, is $25.
