February 26, 2010 - Want a swinging way to fight thalassemia? Come swing a few clubs at the Staten Island chapter's 2010 Charity Golf Outing on April 28.

For golf enthusiasts, any excuse for hitting the links is welcome - and what better excuse is there for having a great time than knowing you're raising funds for CAF and its programs for people with thalassemia?

Held at Staten Island's South Shore Country Club, the outing begins at 11:00 a.m. with registration and a barbecue lunch.  Shotgun start is 1:00 p.m, and cocktails and dinner follow at 6:00.  Additional attractions include a Hole-in-One Contest, a Putting Contest, Performance Prizes, Door Prizes, a 50/50 "Fore Cooley's" Raffle, and more.

Cost is $185 per person; if you wish to come only for cocktails and dinner, the cost is $100.  Reservations are required by April 15.

There are also a number of sponsorship opportunities available that allow you to help CAF even more while getting your name, or your business's name, out in front of all our participants.
